SUPTEX was founded in July 1967 by two co-founders amid a shortage of rubber technical seals in Turkey.
They start their business in a small workshop in Istanbul, with two manual presses for rubber vulcanization, with a puncher for cutting and shaping metal, a vertical drilling machine for removing rubber sags, a simple chemical treatment apparatus and one employee. They purchase rubber from a local supplier, after which they manage to sell the very first production batch of 50x72x10 oil seals to a small company, Karaköy, in Istanbul. The daily output is about 100 pieces.
In 1973, the company moves to a new location in Istanbul, where it will remain for the next 17 years. New hydraulic presses and machined dies appear. Equipment for the production of oil seals consists of two punching presses, four vulcanizers and four drills, which were used to turn oil seals.
In 1975, the construction of the main production workshop of the factory.
1978, the completion of the construction of the plant. All production will be moved to the new building, while the old facility on the European side will continue to serve as head office and warehouse.
1979 - Reorganization of production processes and relocation of production equipment will be completed.
1982 year - a semi-automatic device is added in the tool shop to remove sagging on seals. The SUPTEX ® product range is 1000 items.
1984 - the company installs a chemical laboratory and the first computer (Amstrad CPC 464) at the plant, which will be used for accounting.
1985 - the company receives certificates of "compliance with TSE ( Turkish Standards Institute) standards" and "manufacturing rights".
1988 - Greece becomes the first country where SUPTEX products are exported.
1990 - The head office and warehouse moves to a new address in Istanbul to stay there for another seven years.
1992 - First attendance at an international fair in Kazakhstan.
1993 - The company is registered under the new name SUPTEK San oil seals.
1994 - SUPTEK AS introduces CNC turning and milling machines in the tool shop, simplifying and speeding up the processing of parts.
1995 - SUPTEK A.S., together with its co-venture partners, creates SUPTEK Seal sec. Sti. (SUPTEK LTD.) . The new facility will design and manufacture hydraulic and pneumatic seals and gaskets.
1997 - The head office is attached to the plant for greater autonomous operation of the entire company.
1998 - New plant areas are built to expand production amid growing demand for SUPTEX products, which by that time reaches 3000 items.
1999 - The company makes every effort to achieve standardization in accordance with ISO 9001:1994 quality standards.
2001 - SUPTEK receives MFQ in DIN EN ISO 9001:1994 certificate of conformity due to its first successful implementation of the quality system. A year later, the certificate was upgraded to ISO 9001:1994 to ISO 9001:2000 QMS MFQ.
2003 - Two partners of SUPTEK LTD. We decided to split up and go our separate ways. SUPTEK AS- retains all rights to the SUPTEK trade name, SUPTEX trademark and focuses on the production of oil seals.
2004 - automatic vacuum presses are introduced in production, which allows the company to increase the capacity and pace of production of finished products, increasing the competitiveness of SUPTEK by market. The number of employees reaches 100.
2006 - SUPTEK AS decides to introduce its own brand segment with hydraulic and pneumatic seals. The company creates a new division for the production of pneumatic and hydraulic seals under the SUPTEX ® brand.

Today SUPTEX is a 3500 sq. m. m. in Istanbul, including all business operations, design department, production and sales. Molds and related parts are made using our own tooling on CNC lathes, CNC machining centers with CAD/CAM support. Including all technical operations are designed and carried out in accordance with national and international standards.
Production is carried out almost entirely in the factory, with the exception of a few minor outsourcing processes. A factory seal is attached to the purchased raw rubber in the form of ready-made bales. The whole process is carried out in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management and quality system under the continuous control of the audit service.
Today we have more than 3800 different stamps within our product range. The national network of authorized sellers is responsible for the distribution of SUPTEX products in Turkey, as well as exports to Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Israel, Iran, Ukraine, Morocco and Tunisia.
