Application
The 6304 N bearing is a single-row open-type radial ball bearing equipped with a special groove for a retaining ring on the outer ring. The bearing has an inner diameter of 20 mm, an outer diameter of 52 mm, and a housing width of 15 mm. In technical documentation, this model is also designated as 50304. The groove (index N) allows for secure retention of the bearing in the housing seat using a retaining ring, significantly simplifying the design of the unit and eliminating the need for additional fasteners for axial locking. Model 6304 N (50304) is widely used in automotive gearboxes, special equipment gearboxes, machine tools, and various industrial units requiring rigid bearing retention under radial loads. The open design allows for operation in closed housings with an oil bath or forced-feed lubrication. Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel, it provides resistance to mechanical wear, durability, and stable shaft operation at high speeds.
