Basically, buyers want an "old Soviet" bearing, claiming that "it is better." You can, of course, buy domestic bearings (mainly Samara SPZ-4 or Ukrainian HARP, it’s also 8 GPPs) - they are inexpensive and have the corresponding quality. In this case, it is recommended to replace 217 bearings with analogues of an imported manufacturer due to their higher quality. Having spent a little more money, you can be sure that after a short time you will not have to look again for a replacement bearing.

Bearings 217 are not the most expensive, but acceptable in quality firms CX (Poland) and  firms ZKL (Czech). For especially responsible nodes choose bearings KOYO (Japan) and bearings SKF (Sweden): their cost is two to three times higher, however, they will serve at times longer.
