Replacing the bearing in the washing machine

Replacing a bearing in a washing machine is a procedure that any owner of this household appliance may face.

When it is necessary to replace the bearings of the washing machine? When signs of a malfunction of the machine, namely:
a) during operation, the washing machine produces a strange sound, or rather, buzzing, like a plane taking off;
b) “shaking” appeared during operation, and the drum, if moved, deviates significantly from its axis;
c) the drum of the washing machine does not spin at all;
d) the washing machine does not spin the laundry.

If you have experience in self-repair of household appliances, you can change the bearing in the washing machine yourself. Before installation, you should prepare all the tools in advance so as not to be distracted in the process. During the parsing of the machine, remember to connect the wires to the TENU, as well as all fasteners and connectors. The best option would be to record the order of their actions to simplify the reassembly. Mounts vary in different models, so only the sequence of manipulations will be described below.

How to change the bearings in the washing machine?

To begin with, the washing machine should be disconnected from the power supply, as well as disconnect the hoses for dumping dirty water into the sewer system and clean cool water pipes. It is advisable to move the car to a spacious area where there will be enough space for disassembly and limited movement of adults and especially children.

After the upper casing is detached, the fastening screws are unscrewed with a hexagon. After the panel, we get rid of the dispenser housing, and unscrew the screws, three are located on the case, and one in the front panel.

Next, disconnect the bottom panel.

Disconnect the drain hose.

Thus, the front panel mounting screws, which are also unscrewed, become available to you.

The department for powder and counterweights is dismantled, in most washing machines there are only two of them.

Consistently disconnect the wires from the heating element, and special attention is required to their location. We strongly recommend to record, for greater reliability, to photograph.

Removed TEN, for this, unscrew the nuts and lightly push.

Pull out the tube located between the tank and the pump for draining. Stock up on a rag, because usually a little water is drained.

Next, remove the back panel and belt, for this slightly turn the pulley.

Remove the tank, pre-releasing it from the springs with shock absorbers.

To remove the bearing from the washing machine, the drum is turned over and the pulley is removed. Prepare wooden slats for the drum, as the pulley needs to be knocked out.

Disconnect the two components of the tank.

The bearings of the washing machine are located in the rear compartment of the tank. They are knocked out one by one, however, taking care that the nests for landing are not damaged.

After you remove the bearing from the washing machine, carefully remove dirt, rust, and scale.

After disassembly, you can proceed to the immediate replacement of bearings in the washing machine. When installing the same knock the entire surface of the outer rim of the cage, or affecting their center!

Seal before installation should be lubricated.

Next, the reassembly is performed, it should be noted only the reverse stitching of the tank halves. When they are connected, the gasket is replaced and the sealant is used. After the seal has dried, make sure it is tight.
