KFLT changes its name to PBF

At the beginning of the year Polish companyKFLT (Fabryka Łożysk Tocznych - Kraśnik) changed its name to PBF (Polish Bearings Factory).

New arrivals of bearings of this brand have a new packaging design and are marked as PBF. In particular, at the moment it concerns such bearings as 1309, 515-838 and 515-761.

The company's history dates back to 1938, when Ammunition Plant No. 2 was opened in Poland between Krasnik and Uzhenduv in Poland. Before the war, artillery ammunition and detonators were manufactured on it. The company has given several hundred jobs, due to which the settlement Dombrova-Bor has grown up near the plant.

In wartime, the main power plant was exported to Germany, and the plant itself was used as a repair base of military equipment and the production line of aircraft parts. Huge corps were used as storage for grain and food, and part of the housing stock of the village was used as a concentration camp.

September 15, 1948 is considered the birthday of the Polish bearing products. On this day, on the basis of the former factory of ammunition, a Metal-Rolling Plant opens.

The first batch of bearings 6204 in the amount of 1000 pieces was released on May 1, 1949. From this point on, there is a continuous improvement in the quality of manufactured products, which allows KFLT to enter the European market.

From 1971 to 2007, products are labeled FLT and are shipped in red, white and blue boxes.

In 1977-1981, 16 members of staff are trained and improve their skills at the Osaka plant (Japan).

On January 2, 1985, the plant changes its form of ownership: the former state-owned enterprise becomes a joint-stock company. Continuous modernization of capacities and improvement of the quality of work allow us to increase production efficiency. Also, a quality system according to ISO / TS 16949 standards is being implemented. The result is access to the global bearing market.

August 12, 2002 a subsidiary of the company engaged in the production of rolling elements and needle bearings, sold to the US-Japanese concern Tsubaki-Hoover.

In 2005, production is certified according to the standards of ISO 9001 (quality system), ISO 14001 (environmental management), OHSAS 18001 and ISO 18001 (labor protection and safety management system).

From 2007 to 2014, most of the products are labeled as KFLT and are supplied in gray boxes with the red name of the company. In the updated design of the packaging brand names are made in blue.
