LBP bearings

The largest bearing manufacturers open their plants and factories around the world. Today we will speak about the Ukrainian division of the world leader in the field of bearings - the company JSC "SKF Ukraine" (LBP).

Almost fifty years ago, in July 1968, a decree was signed by the Minister of the Automotive Industry of the USSR, according to which the construction of a bearing plant begins in Lutsk, the products of which will be marked 28 GPPs. In 1980, the plant began its work by releasing the first test batch of tapered roller bearings for the KamAZ auto concern in June. In February 1981, the first industrial batch of bearings went off the assembly line, and in the middle of 1982 the volume of output exceeded one million units. Two years later, in 1984, output was more than ten million units. Tests conducted with manufactured bearings show high results.

After a period of restructuring, the plant gradually falls into disrepair. By a decree of June 1994, the Lutsk Bearing Plant was reorganized into an open joint-stock company, and for the most part stands idle without work. However, in June 1997, the plant received an ISO 9000 certificate, and in December of the same year it became part of the SKF corporation. From this point on, the enterprise is being revived, production capacities are being updated Since 2000, the plant has begun production of bearing components for SKF plants in Poland, Brazil and Germany. In May 2004, the President of SKF, Tom Johnston, while visiting Lutsk, noted the high-quality and reliable operation of the Lutsk plant.

In February 2007, the Lutsk Bearing Plant was renamed SCF-Ukraine. Manufactured bearings are labeled "SKF UA", which is an indicator of high quality products, guaranteed by SKF.

The main direction of the plant’s production is needle and roller tapered bearings. The latter are the most popular series: 7200  (bearings 7212), 7300 (bearings  7314), 7500 (bearings 7508), 7600 (bearings 7613). Products of the plant are mainly trucks, agricultural machinery and industrial equipment. Bearings are also produced under the marking of LBP - this is a segment focused on the Ukrainian market, combining high product quality and lower price.
